The new frame gives you the comfort you need without sacrificing with a perfect balance of aerodynamics and lightness. With tube shapes from the FreeFoil Shape library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aerodynamic than the Tarmac SL6. At the same time, and to optimize weight and ride quality, Specialized turned to the Rider-First Engineered™ design to provide optimal stiffness and comfort regardless of size.
To accompany the new frame, the brand developed the all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost. Not only is it the first seatpost that is both comfortable and aerodynamic, but it doesn't add any extra weight and has a clean design. Starting with the same D-shaped design as the Tarmac, the comfort level has been taken a step further by creating additional flexibility and developing an all-new seatpost clamp design lower in the frame. All these elements provide a lot of comfort, while creating the perfect balance with the front end. You get a reassuring ride and balanced comfort, no matter what road you want to ride on.
The Future Shock 2.0 suspension is the result of research done with professional riders to tackle the cobblestones of Roubaix. It delivers more comfort, more speed and it allows you to keep control of the compression with a knob located above the stem. This knob adjusts the compression allowing you to go from soft to firm, while the internal hydraulic valve controls the rebound. With all these features, this new version will reduce your fatigue and increase your speed, no matter what your ride. The new smoother gaiter improves aesthetics and allows for a clean transition between the headset and stem.
