At first glance, the Roubaix SL4 looks a lot like a Tarmac. But on closer inspection, there's no mistaking it: the Zertz inserts on the fork make the Roubaix unmistakable. Like the shock absorbers on a race car, these inserts absorb the impact of the cobblestones to maintain contact with the road.
This Specialized exclusive design allows for the filtration of vertical vibrations on the frame. Designed in the seatstays and the fork, they optimize the lateral rigidity of the whole. At the rear of the bike, they complement the comfort provided by the CG stem and Romin Gel saddle. At the front, they directly reduce the vibrations absorbed by the cyclist at the level of the arms and the bust.
Visually, the Roubaix SL4 presents very successful curves and choice of colors, both sober and with a touch of red that gives character to this superb machine.
Beyond the visual aspects, it is the comfort that is the main asset of the Roubaix SL4. Specialized opted for a specific seatpost: the Cobl-Gobl seatpost. Designed like a Z just under the rider's seat, it is equipped with an elastomer that absorbs road shock.
Fulcrum Racing S-Three wheels are the ideal ally for long rides and intense training sessions. For all cyclists looking for versatility and the comfort of an aluminum structure with steel spokes, Fulcrum Racing 3 is a solid, practical and, of course, stylish choice - because on a bike like the Roubaix SL4 there should be no compromise!
The Roubaix SL4 has a balanced geometry, less front triangle weight than bikes more designed for racing. The bottom bracket is sturdy and can take a lot of hits without bending. It's a very light bike, perfect for tackling hills with confidence. Easy to ride, riders will be pleasantly surprised by its ability to handle changes in pace. It also offers a nice stability on the downhill that reassures the most novice riders.
Cyclosport, long distance, touring, comfort, the range of use is wide for cyclists of all ages, all experiences, wishing comfort and performance. A bike that is easy to position as the applications are numerous. Specialized proves with the Roubaix SL4 that comfort is the secret to performance.
