The Nomad's reputation is based on the fact that it constantly pushes the limits of a single tee bike while proving itself docile in everyday use. This latest version pushes the limits even further in terms of travel and geometry, but is also surprisingly versatile for a machine designed to chase the most extreme descents.
The design of this fourth generation brings a radical evolution with the shock now mounted on the bottom tube. The damping capacity resembles a short-travel version of a V10, which means 5-star comfort on small shocks, then perfect support at mid-stroke and a progressiveness usually found only on downhill bikes. To take advantage of this new potential, the geometry has also been revised.
With a lowered profile and a longer wheelbase, stability is now at a maximum and you can tackle any terrain with total confidence. However, the Nomad is still a bike designed for all types of riding: it's efficient at pedaling and doesn't shy away from long connections between two climbs or all-day rides, helped by a seat tube angle that favors pedaling and compatibility with a standard 170mm telescopic seatpost.
